Dror Bikel heads the Family and Matrimonial Law practice of Bikel & Associates. Dror believes that the effective representation of clients in this area requires understanding the relevant legal issues in the context of the emotional dynamics of the family. With this in mind, Dror offers clients several options for resolving the matter, as appropriate on a case-by-case basis. He specializes in traditional litigation, uncontested divorces, collaborative law and mediation.
Dror is uniquely qualified to represent clients in this area. He has extensive experience as a litigator, including motion practice, depositions, and trials. He has represented clients in State, Family and Federal courts, and has served as a Special Master for Judge Sklar in New York County Supreme Court, and as a Foreign Judicial Clerk for the Supreme Court of Israel. Dror has also lectured in the area of litigation and trial practice. He is admitted to practice in New York, and in Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern Federal District Courts of New York.
Dror is a member of the Family Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association and the Matrimonial Law Section of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. He is trained in Collaborative Law from the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, and in mediation from the Center of Mediation and Law. He is a member the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Center for Human Development. Dror has been named to Super Lawyers 2009, an honor reserved for the top five percent of New York lawyers.
Dror received his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1992 and was a member of the Cardozo Law Review. He graduated from Brandeis University in 1987.
